MDMA (Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation) is the Zhejiang Provincal Key Specialty (from 1997 ) and the “Twelfth Five-year” Zhejiang Provincial Advantageous Specialty (from 2012 ). Honorably, in 2011, MDMA has been selected into the Excellent Engineer Education Training Plan sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China, as one member of the first subjects. Now, there are 26 scholars focusing on both educations and researches in MDMA , including 16 professors and associate professors, and 14 doctors majored in Mechanical Engineering. MDMA has established a Zhejiang Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstrating Center—— the mechanical and electrical engineering experimental teaching center. The aim of MDMA is is to cultivate advanced application-oriented engineering technicians who master basic theory and skills of mechanical design, computer and control engineering, who can be engaged in design and manufacture of mecha-tronic production, production process management and equip- ments management, sales and services work in enterprise or scientific research institute.
