赵丹,现为新加坡南洋理工大学副教授。2009年毕业于英国剑桥大学机械与航空航天工程专业,获博士学位。随后进入新加坡南洋理工大学航空航天工程系。现为多个国际知名学术组织的会员。包括:英国皇家航空学会高级会员(Associate Fellow of Royal Aeronautical Society);美国航空航天研究所(Member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA));美国声学学会(Member of Acoustical Society of America)。
在燃烧学和声学研究等领域取得了丰硕的成果,得到了业内的高度评价,研究成果居国际领先水平,在北美和欧洲多个著名刊物担任特约审稿人。作为第一作者和通讯作者已发表高水平论文60余篇,包括《Journal of Fluid Mechanics》《Combustion and Flame》、《Journal of Acoustical America Society》等顶级期刊。授权美国发明专利一份。
Dr Dan Zhao received his Master degree in thermal power and fluids engineering from the University of Manchester (UMIST) in 2004. He began his PhD research on tuned passive control of combustion instability in 2005 at the University of Cambridge, with the financial support from Cambridge Overseas Trust, C.T. Taylor and Darwin College. After graduating in 2009, he worked as a Research and Development Engineer in Silixa Ltd UK, where he conducted research on the development and design of an oil or natural gas flow meter by measuring flow-induced sound. He joined Nanyang Technological University in Singapore 2010 as an assistant professor.
He is an associate fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society UK, a member of American Institute of Aeronautics, and Astronautics, and Acoustical Society of America. Currently He is serving as an associate editor of ‘Aerospace Science and Technology’ and a member of editorial board of Journal of ‘Low Frequency noise, vibration and active control’. His research interests include pulse combustion for drying or waste incineration, combustion instability, flame-acoustic interaction, active or passive control of acoustic noise, solar-powered thermoacoustic cooler/engine, aeroacoustic measurements of aerial vehicles, control of dynamic aeroleasticity, and acoustic dampers/materials et al.
